Our founder, Roger G. Jain, established this law firm in 1996 after serving as a prosecutor with the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office, where he developed extensive trial experience. Our firm continues to focus on litigation in both civil and criminal court. We also provide transactional services to businesses.

Meet Roger G. Jain Esq.
Roger G. Jain earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston in 1987 with a degree in accounting. After becoming a licensed CPA, he managed private corporate clients for PriceWaterhouse. Roger then became convinced that becoming a trial lawyer was his true calling. He then enrolled in Baylor Law School in 1990 and graduated in 1993.
After graduating from Baylor Law School, he worked as a criminal prosecutor for the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office where he gained significant trial experience. In January 1996, he started his law practice as a trial lawyer, and his practice continues to grow each year. Meet Thomas H. Smith III
Thomas H. Smith III was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2002 with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. He then attended the University of Houston Law Center where he served as an Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law.
Tom began working at Roger G. Jain & Associates as a clerk in February 2004. When he graduated from UH Law Center in 2005, he continued here as an attorney, where he has worked through today. Meet Crystal Walker
Crystal C. Walker was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In 2010, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University. She then served four years in the United States Army working as an X-Ray Technician. After being honorably discharged from service, she attended South Texas College of Law, Houston and competed as a varsity advocate for one of the top trial advocacy programs in the country. Meet Blair Maslowski
Blair grew up in Illinois. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri, Juris Doctorate from Western State University in Irvine, California and Certificates in Mediation, Alternative Dispute Resolution and International Law from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Meet Ami Feltovich
Ami was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated cum laude from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Political Science. She got her law degree at South Texas College of Law. During and after law school, Ami worked in several areas of law, including family, criminal defense, landlord-tenant, insurance defense and medical malpractice defense. Meet Matthew Simpson – Office Manager
Matthew was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Houston. He began working at Roger G. Jain & Associates in July of 2021 as a legal assistant, and has been working as the firm’s office manager since 2022. He has a passion for history, and is certified to teach it at a high school level. When not working, he can be found reading, roaming through one of the parks in Houston, or attempting to cook.
Meet Katelyn Potter – Office Assistant
Katelyn was born in Mississippi and raised in Texas. In 2021, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Once she relocated to Houston, she began working for Roger G. Jain & Associates in August of 2022 and is now Roger’s Legal Assistant. She loves to paint, read, and hang out with her cat, Salem.
Meet Misty Perez – Senior Paralegal
Misty Perez was born and raised in Lufkin, Texas. Misty began working for Roger G. Jain & Associates, P.C. in September 2021. Misty is a paralegal with 14 years experience with attorneys. She graduated from Angelina College with an Associate in Applied Science-Paralegal. She brings a broad depth of experience in paralegal support to the firm. She is responsible for managing all firm files and overseeing accounting. She is a value-driven paralegal with experience supporting and managing the caseloads of multiple attorneys. She has significant experience drafting pleadings, navigating the management of deadlines, and documents filing in federal and state courts. Misty prides herself on providing excellent customer service and taking a personal interest in each of the firm’s clients. In her free time, she enjoys watching her youngest son play baseball and spending time with her family. She is married and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
